This kit was created as a compact introduction to the brand. The structure needed to travel well and present well, so I designed with durability, visual clarity, and brand storytelling in mind. It sets the tone for Modern Times Coffee before the first sip.

I was tasked with developing a 12 oz can design for the newest pasteurized cold brew blend by Modern Times. It had to be striking and easily distinguishable from their core lineup, while also standing apart from other shelf-stable cold brews in a grocery aisle. We ultimately chose a symmetrical design that features black and a gold that pops to complement the gold base can color.

Shadow Party Dark Roast Concentrate Pouch — photo

For the Barrel-Aged Cold Brew Concentrate label, I used warm amber tones and deco geometry to reflect the richness of barrel-aging. The Shadow Party Dark Roast flips the palette to cool blues and golds, emphasizing depth and contrast. Together, they form a cohesive duo that highlights Modern Times’ blend of craft, character, and playfulness.

Project Steeped — Modern Times Coffee

For the Steeped Coffee line, I created two distinct approaches that still feel unmistakably Modern Times. The dark roast design shifts to a more grounded palette with minimal accents, leaning into the brand’s geometric language to emphasize richness and depth. The bright version brings high-energy color and confident contrast to the single-serve shelf—playful yet precise in its layout. Together, they strike a balance between clarity, character, and family cohesion.

The Cathedral of Caffeination logo blends reverence and irreverence, pairing tall, gothic-inspired lettering with playful curvature and rhythm. Its arched composition evokes the grandeur of a cathedral, while subtle quirks in the letterforms keep it approachable and modern. The result captures the spirit of a place where coffee is both craft and ritual.

On moderntimesmerch.com, I built a coffee-focused ecommerce site that balances brand storytelling with conversion-friendly shopping flows. I designed flexible product and promo layouts, kept typography and navigation clean, and optimized key pages for mobile checkout behavior. The result is a storefront that’s easy to update, consistent across campaigns, and built to support ongoing drops and subscriptions.

GUARDIAN SPIRIT COLD BREW CAN DESIGN

This tumbler wrap was designed to turn a drinkware item into a collectible visual grid. Each tile-style illustration is a standalone icon inspired by Modern Times' brand language—UFOs, lava lamps, glassware, and surreal details. Together, they form a saturated, modular system that’s loud, weird, and definetly Modern Times.

I designed a retro tarot card inspired cold brew can glass for Modern Times Coffee during their Fall 2025 merch refresh. This design was to use a single ink color and would reveal itself upon the glass being filled with coffee.
